Grade 7 Trip to Wanakita

posted in: Home Page News | 0

The Grade 7’s had an amazing trip to Camp Wanakita in Haliburton on Jan. 23-24!  We had tons of fun cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and playing broomball.  We had a beautiful night hike across Lake Koshlong by lantern light and enjoyed a warm campfire with hot chocolate and amusing song performances.  On behalf of the Grade 7 staff and students, we would like to thank Camp Wanakita and their fantastic group leaders for giving such a memorable experience.  We would also like to thank Mrs. Cummings and Ms. Jones for all of their hard work in following up with phone calls and bookings to make sure our trip was successful.  To all of our Grade 7 teachers and EA’s, thank you for your team work and all of your efforts to make sure that this trip went so smoothly.  To our students, several of the Camp staff and our bus drivers commented on how well behaved you were.  You should be very proud of yourselves! Thank you all so much for the memories and we look forward to future excursions with you!
