Central Senior rolled out the red carpet on May 15 and showcased the hard work of students. Videos centering on the theme of “I can make a difference” were debuted to family and fans.  The filmmakers were treated to a Hollywood experience with limo rides, a walk down the red carpet and a press area where they were interviewed by Tess, our intrepid entertainment reporter.

Huge thanks to Jeremy Cadeau and Diana Scates for approving the program enhancement grant. Thanks to DG Transportation for their limousine service. Thank you to staff who showed their support in so many ways; homeroom teachers for providing time, inspiration, guidance and feedback to students to improve their films, Mr. Stephenson and Mr. Ellis for applying for the grant and doing a lot of the behind the scenes tech support, Mrs. Pilgrim for decoration coordination, and to Mr. Stone for running with the idea of a red carpet experience. Thank you to our student ushers who helped people find their seats, hand out programs and make popcorn, you did a great job! Finally, thank you to the families and friends of the students who helped support them as they made their films (and who even cameoed in some!).

We look forward to making this an annual event at Central.
