Transitioning to Central and Orientation Days

Central is excited to welcome the intermediate division from LFPS as they will now be joining Central Senior School, making Central dual track offering English and French Immersion programming.

We are hosting two Parent Information Nights, June 12 and 14 at 6:30 in the gym, to share what we anticipate programming to be next year for both the English stream and the French Immersion stream. Parents and students are welcome as this will be a great opportunity to take a tour of the school. There will be changes to our current schedule that the staff have been discussing for some time to help better meet the needs of our students. Some of the changes for next year will be implementing a common math block, hands on learning weeks and rotating subject blocks.  Parents of current students and of students incoming to Central are invited to attend one of the nights (the same information will be shared at both nights).

Students who are currently in grade 6 at our feeder schools are being invited to an Orientation Day on June 18    where they will have an opportunity to check out some of the Clubs and Teams at Central Senior, meet their new schoolmates, get a tour of the school and get a taste of what Central is all about.

Students who are currently in grade 7 at LFPS are invited to an Orientation Day on June 21.

Thursday, August 30 at 1pm we will be available for you to get your schedule, meet your teacher and to get your locker (please have a Dudley lock, we have some for purchase if necessary, no Stanley locks).

For those of you who really like to plan ahead, our meet the teacher night for September will be on Wednesday, September 12.

We look forward to seeing you soon and to having you become part of our Central school family.
