October Update

Time is flying by with a lot of things happening.  Field trips are up and running. New clubs are starting and life at Central is busy!

A few things to think about:

  1.       Fresh from the Farm orders are due tomorrow – October 10
  2.       Let’s SCARE HUNGER! Our Me to We team is sponsoring a Food Drive.  They are asking students to bring in non-perishable food items. These items will be donated to our local Food Bank.  The class that brings in the most items will win a pizza party. The Food Drive will end on November 2nd.
  3.       Field Trips running this month:
    •  Oct. 12 – Mud Run for Cross Country Team
    •  Oct. 12, 25 – Science classes to Gaminge Nature Centre
    • Oct. 16 – Cameron and Hough’s classes go to the RO
    • Oct. 11 and 16 – Female students in Tomlinson, Byer, Butcher and Milne’s classes fo to the Women in Trades event at Fleming College in Peterborough.
    • Oct. 18 – Girls’ Soccer Tournament
    •  Oct. 25 – Boys’ Soccer Tournament
  4.       Knitting Club has begun.  They will be meeting Monday’s at lunch so bring your nimble fingers and knit, knit, knit…or crochet 🙂
  5.       Reminder that October 26th is a PA Day.  Check out our website next week for the Agenda on what Central staff will be doing that day.
  6.       Stage Band Auditions have been held.  Concert Band and Stage Band are up and running.
