About

Central Senior School (CSS) has undergone a number of changes since its establishment in 1910. For over four decades, CSS has been an intermediate-focussed school, hosting Grade 7 and 8 students in the town of Lindsay, from the following feeder schools:

  • Alexandra Public School
  • Parkview Public School
  • Queen Victoria Public School
  • King Albert Public School
  • Leslie Frost Public School

In September of 2018, CSS became a dual track school, hosting both French Immersion Grade 7 and 8s as well. Following the boundary review conducted during the spring of 2024, CSS remains a dual track school, with Grade 7 and 8 French Immersion and Grade 8 students across the town of Lindsay.

At CSS, we conduct ourselves according to the “Central Code” of equity, accountability, and kindness. Our students strive to conduct themselves in a manner that respects the diversity of our population, demonstrates dedication to the daily pursuit of academic and social goals, and supports a safe, and kind environment for our students. We hold ourselves accountable for our actions and strive to be supportive, contributing members of our community, every day.
